Alright so, I’ve been taking cold showers pretty much everyday for the last 2 months.

It’s great.

Recently, I’ve been challenging myself to severely reduce the time I spend in the actual shower.

Time is valuable and the more time I can shave off of trivial things like showering, the more time I have for my family and the opportunities God is calling me to.

Every minute I save in the shower… adds 5.5 hours back to my life over the year.

Now, imagine you multiply that by 20.

That’s 4.5 days back for the year.

Enter one of my favorite songs I found in 2023. In fact, everything Colony House has out became my favorite find of 2023.

This song is an absolute RIOT.

So much so, that it hypes me up in the morning during my shower.

And since it’s only 3 minutes and 36 seconds, I start it the moment I step into the shower…

then proceed to shampoo, condition, face-wash, and lather up AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

Then, the game begins.

I turn the hot water all the way off while turning the cold water all the way on.

It’s the most epic moment of the morning.

Loud, blaring, disgusting guitar licks; paired with shocking your body with ice-water gives a feeling I can’t really describe.

But here’s the deal.

I grin and bear it until the song is over.

No matter how late, or early, I am in the song.

This morning I was on the polar express to hypothermia for 1 minute and 12 seconds.

That’s a 6-second increase from the last time I had my wife time my max-toleration of the cold shower.

Not only am I redeeming time, but I’m setting myself up for a killer morning thanks to the benefits of a cold shower + Colony House.

I dare you to try it.
